In the center is a stitched picture of the Parthenon atop the Acropolis as seen from Syntagma Square in the center of Athens. Below the Acropolis, between two Doric columns is a quote from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar in stylized Greek lettering: "But for mine own part, it was Greek to me." The center picture is surrounded by a traditional Greek border that symbolizes infinity. Around this border is the Greek alphabet stitched in variegated silk from Dinky Dyes. In each corner is a block of hardanger featuring a Greek Cross filling stitch. The traditional border is repeated around the outside of the alphabet.
